We take pride in offering a 7 day accelerated multi-engine add-on program that focuses on safety, efficiency and quality training. This add-on will allow you to fly multi-engine aircraft that are able to fly faster and further than most single-engine aircraft. The rating can be added to both Private and Commercial certificates, although a Commercial add-on is the most common for career track pilots.

Currently, all regional airlines require a minimum of 25 hours of Multi-Engine time and this rating is your first step to reaching those minimums.

Program Outline

Sierra Charlie Aviation’s experienced MEI’s are ready to help you reach your goals. Our course is structured to allow time to self-study and receive dual instruction in the air and on the ground daily. Below is an outline of what you can expect during your training.

Day 1: Dual Flight & Dual Ground

Day 2: Dual Flight & Dual Ground

Day 3: Dual Flight & Dual Ground

Day 4: Dual Flight & Dual Ground

Day 5: Progress Check with Senior Instructor

Day 6: Day off

Day 7: Checkride

Dual training in the classroom is heavily focused on aircraft systems, performance, limitations, and emergency procedures. While in the airplane, your experienced instructor will teach you the fundamentals of all maneuvers necessary to pass the check-ride and safely fly the aircraft. There is a heavy focus on single-engine operations (one engine out) and precision maneuvers.

Many flight schools offer multi-engine training in outdated and aging fleets with aircraft that are consistently down for maintenance. Flight training takes place in our 2020 Piper PA-44 Seminole that is G1000 NXi equipped and coupled with GFC700 autopilot. The Piper Seminole is the ultimate twin-engine training aircraft and the most popular multi-engine training aircraft built. Thanks to our experienced instructors and dedicated students we currently have a 100% pass rate in our multi-engine add-on program.
