In order to start on your Certified Flight Instructor program, you’ll need to meet these requirements:
The Sierra Charlie Aviation Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) training course integrates flight training with your instructor in the aircraft, ground school instruction and test prep.
Areas of study include: fundamentals of effective teaching; psychology of learning; lesson planning; classroom instruction techniques; night training techniques; preflight preparation; basic aerodynamics and the principles of flight; aeronautical decision making and judgment; ground operations; airport operations; emergency operations; and after-landing procedures.

Successful completion of this Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) course will qualify you to instruct students in single-engine aircraft.
Your CFI checkride is conducted by a Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE): an experienced pilot authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to give the oral and practical flight tests for pilot certificates and ratings.
You don't have to find one. When your instructor signs you off as ready, Sierra Charlie Aviation arranges and schedules your DPE for you, so you can stay focused on your training.

CFII, or Certified Flight Instructor Instrument, is also available as an add-on to your CFI certification. It qualifies you to teach student pilots seeking certification and various endorsements, both on aeronautical knowledge and flight training. You will also be qualified to administer instrument proficiency examinations. The accelerated CFII course lasts 2-3 weeks, based on proficiency.
