Two Years in a Row Sierra Charlie Aviation is Recognized by AOPA

Annually, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) honors the best flight schools and the best instructors in the industry across the nation.  Last year we were honored for the first time, with Sierra Charlie Aviation making the Honor Roll and our very own Scott Campbell earning Outstanding Flight Instructor.  These were incredibly prestigious honors, and we are even more thrilled to announce that we won awards again this year!

We pride ourselves on creating a strong sense of community where our pilots and instructors can work together to foster knowledge.  We value quality instruction both in the air and on the ground, focus on our customers’ needs and wants, and practice transparency about the flight training process.  We make sure our students know exactly what to expect when they start their flight training.  It is not always easy, but we want our students to continue forward and achieve their flying dreams of becoming pilots.

This year, we want to wish a warm congratulations to Sierra Charlie Aviation’s Scott Campbell and Tom DeYoung who received Flight Training Excellence Awards from AOPA! They were two of only four CFIs in Arizona to receive these awards and scored in the top 1% of almost 1,900 CFIs surveyed.  Furthermore, owner and chief flight instructor Scott Campbell was named the 2017 AOPA Best Flight Instructor in the Southwest!  This is one of the highest honors achievable as a Certified Flight Instructor.

Based on customer feedback and surveys, Sierra Charlie Aviation received a Distinguished Flight School Award.  This is an even greater merit than making Honor Roll, and we are so proud of our organization and the hard work our team puts in every day to help mold new pilots.  Input from our students helps us and our instructors improve our school and the entire flight training experience.

We are so proud to be recognized as one of the Top Flight Schools in the Region and have two of the Top Flight Instructors in the Southwest!
