Sierra Charlie Aviation is Growing our Fleet, Again
At the beginning of 2019, we had three Cessna 172s, two with G1000 integrated avionics suites (glass cockpits) and one round gauge. As we gained new students rapidly at the beginning of the year, it became obvious that three airplanes simply were not enough to accommodate everyone.
Sierra Charlie Aviation is the fastest growing flight school in the valley. We are continually hiring new Certified Flight Instructors and enrolling new students; we even expanded into a bigger office space. To keep up with our quickly expanding school, we added two more new Cessna 172s with G1000 integrated avionics to our fleet earlier this year.
Now, we have some exciting news…we are expanding our fleet yet again! We are purchasing two factory brand-new 2019 Cessna 172s!
Both new airplanes are equipped with Garmin G1000 NXi Avionics, Synthetic Vision Technology, GFC700 Autopilot, XM Satellite Radio & Weather, and even Traffic. Not only are these airplanes state-of-the-art, but they are also incredibly safe. With technology like this, you can feel comfortable and safe flying day or night and to local or unfamiliar airports.
Like the rest of our fleet, our new airplanes also feature new engines. With regularly scheduled maintenance, you will always feel safe and secure. The new Cessnas will be ready for flight at the end of summer!
Cessna’s 172 Skyhawk is a great training airplane and has been since the 1950s. Cessna prides itself on the knowledge that students who learn to fly in a 172 can transfer their knowledge to any other aircraft on their production line.
With the G1000 integrated avionics suite, which is a standard in most general aviation aircraft today, students can transition easily into high performance aircraft later in their journey while saving money on their initial training.
