Our First Airline Meet & Greet was a Massive Success!
On March 27, 2019, Republic Airways came to Sierra Charlie Aviation to share information about their company and to meet our students. Even in our larger office space upstairs, this event was completely full!
Sarah Graver of Republic Airways presented about Republic’s RJet Development programs, their top-tier contract and daily life. She even brought a current Republic Airways Captain and a First Officer to answer student questions.
What is Republic Airways’s RJet Pilot Prep Program? It’s designed for students who are currently training to become Certified Flight Instructors who have a minimum of 300 hours flight time and no more than 1,000 hours.
Students accepted into the program receive a conditional job offer that is valid for 2 years. This is a huge opportunity and can really alleviate stress for students and instructors as they work on time-building.
To qualify, you must have an Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot Certificate. Additionally, you must maintain a current FAA First Class Medical. You must be eligible to work in the United States and hold a valid Driver’s License.
Please also provide at least one recommendation letter, preferably from someone who has flown with you, such as your Certified Flight Instructor. Lastly, you can’t have more than 1 check ride failure. Having more than one doesn’t mean you can’t get hired on at Republic Airways, but it does mean that you do not qualify for a conditional job offer and must apply and interview through traditional methods. If you have more than one check ride failure, be ready to explain why and what you learned from each experience.
This program does not provide any funding or hours towards a Multi-Engine Add-On, but Republic does require the full 50 hours. The good news is – Republic Airways is currently offering a starting bonus of $17,500 and, once you have an official start date, you can use your starting bonus for your additional training.
To learn more about Republic Airways as a company, come to our next Meet and Greet on November 13, 2019 at 6:00PM. If you aren’t currently one of our students, call us today to find out more information and register for this event!
