I have always had love of airplanes and got a chance to get my pilots license back in 1979. Soon after that I got my Flight Instructors Rating and started teaching, but that was short-lived. I started a new career as an FAA Air Traffic Controller. I was not getting to fly but was able to enjoy my love of aviation. After about 23 years I retired and found that I was out of aviation and was missing it.
After looking at other flight schools in Scottsdale, I found Sierra Charlie Aviation to be the best fit for me. I was sold on it the first time I went up for a Discovery Flight. When I flew the C172s with G1000, I knew at that moment, I was going to get my CFI reinstated and add my CFII so I could share my love of aviation with others.
